Coming to Term
Happy Spring! Some updates!
Patagonia and my friend Anna made a film about me running while pregnant. It's funny now because I've barely been able to run since giving birth.
I wrote an essay for Outside Run about the support my running friends, in particular, provided throughout my matresence. In it, I detail my thrilling postpartum ailments.
The update to that article is I'm just now returning to run after getting a sacral stress fracture about five months postpartum. I'm also seeing some improvement in my rough postpartum depression (thanks to my amazing psychiatrist and therapist!). It's been a less than glamorous road, but I'm so grateful for my baby, my incredibly supportive and helpful husband, fam&friends, and my ever improving health. What a journey...
I'm still working on my PhD in conservation and am more fired up than ever to protect what's alive.
EVENTS
This summer, I'll be at TrailCon and crewing my buddy Riley Brady (woo!!) at Western States and screening the prego film at Patagonia Boulder in June and July.
In September, I'll be touring Patagonia retail stores in the LA area and NYC with my fellow Patagonia ambassador Peyton Thomas who also has a short film (about running to remote rivers to study fish on a remote Canadian island).
Cheers! Time to plant :)
