Science

As a PhD student at University of Colorado Boulder, I've been researching Antarctic toothfish population dynamics. Commercially sold as Chilean seabass, these fish are important (and beautiful) members of the Southern Ocean ecosystem.

I'm also studying the UN Plastics Pollution treaty negotiations and how fishing gear will be incorporated into the treaty.

As an undergraduate at Princeton, I fell in love with coral ecology. I researched how tiny crevices in the reef act as refuges for juvenile coral.

Running

I sometimes document my runs and movements on Strava. Many thanks to Patagonia and La Sportiva for supporting my efforts. I love to run!

Writing

I write freelance stories for publications like Outside, Ultrarunning, and Boulder Daily Camera.
